This illustration is my take on the Brighton Palace Pier – one of the city's most iconic and playful landmarks. There's something so nostalgic about walking along the pier with the lights, the sounds, and that unmistakable smell of the sea in the air. I wanted to capture the magic of that moment when the pier seems to glow against the backdrop of the ocean and sky.
I’ve used bold colour contrasts and a slightly retro style to highlight the pier’s funfair charm and its place in Brighton’s unique identity. Whether you’ve strolled it many times or remember it from a special visit, I hope this print brings back a little bit of that seaside joy.
